Iru Mugan (Inkokkadu) 3rd Day Collection, Third Saturday Box Office Business: Chiyaan Vikram-starrer Iru Mugan opened decently well at the box office in India, its collections in the US were dull. Iru Mugan was simultaneously released in Tamil and a dubbed version in Telugu, titled Inkokkadu.
The movie came out in the USA a day before it was screened in India. According to Tamil movie distributor in America ATMUS Entertainment, the movie earned $948 on its opening day.
On September 8, the movie hit theatres all around the world along with its dubbed Telugu version Inkokkadu. The movie received mixed reviews, and managed to collect Rs 5.25 crore on its opening day in Tamil Nadu. Now this collection is bigger than Vikram’s previous film earnings – 10 Endrathukulla (5 crores) by a margin, but it is far behind when compared to Rajinikanth’s Kabali (21.50 crores), Ajith Kumar’s Vedalam (15.50 crores) & Vijay’s Theri (13.10 crores).
On the second day, it faced slight drop in its occupancy and added the amount of 4.5 crores* to its account. With this, 2 days total net collection of Iru Mugan has become 9.75 crores* from Tamil Nadu state. From Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Iru Mugan’s Telugu version (Inkokkadu) has done the business of 8.75 crores* in 2 days, that includes 4.75 crores of Thursday and 4 crores* of Friday.
Once you move out of the auditorium you will love “the love” and think about “speed”. Acting wise everyone have done justice to their role. Vikram takes the movie over his shoulders. BGM is good but songs are again a backdrop. Editing should have been crispy so that the run time goes near to 2 hrs 10 minutes. Overall an awesome experience. Go watch in theatres with friends and family. Strictly one time watchable.
