Kabali 2nd Day Collection Second 23th July 2016 Box Office Business: Rajinikanth’s “Kabali” has got a flying start at the box office worldwide. The Tamil movie has done an approximate collection of Rs. 21.5 crore, thereby breaking all the opening day business records of Kollywood films in Tamil Nadu.”Kabali” is made on a budget of Rs. 100 crore and the movie has earned about Rs. 225 crore from the sales of theatrical, audio, satellite rights and through various deals.

“Kabali” has beaten the first day box office collection record of Ajith’s “Vedalam,” which had earned Rs. 15.5 crore on its opening day last Diwali, to become the biggest Kollywood opener of all time. The Rajinikanth-starrer has been released in over 550 screens in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from ‘Baahubali’, ‘Kabali’ has also surpassed superstar Salman Khan’s  All Time Bollywood Blockbuster ‘Sultan’. While the wrestling drama earned Rs 37.50 crores on its release day of July 06, ‘Kabali’ has earned more than that Rs 40 crores.

It should be noted that ‘Sultan’ became the biggest opener of Bollywood in 2016, but then it was minus Rajinikanth. And where the ‘Thalaivar’ is concerned, these collections don’t come as a surprise.

Rajinikanth’s star power has worked big time as “Kabali” as the multilingual movie has registered above 90 percent (on an average) occupancy in the key centers, thereby doing a record business worldwide on the opening day.

The movie was released in over 4500 screens worldwide in three versions (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) on Friday, July 22. The advance booking for tickets in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and some foreign countries was met with huge success, hinting that the film will witness an earth-shattering business at the box office on the first day.

The gangster drama and action movie is directed by veteran director PA Ranjith, who had already passed his various blockbuster movies at the BO. Rajinikanth is also known as the king of box office collections in the south Indian market. The early reports estimated the earnings from South Indian from Tamil version market to be more than 12 crore rupees itself. While the shows in other languages the movie performed bit up to the expectations. Hindi version had reportedly earned around 13 crore rupees on the first day. 4 crores for Telugu version and 2 crores from Malay.

USA Box Office Business Kabali 2nd Day

The response was also positive from the Gulf market. Even in the areas with no Tamil population, the movie had observed many houseful shows.  Being a weekday on the overseas market, the actual reports were not as good as they are going to be on weekends.

From the United States, Film beat the record of $404,566 Lingaa and $1,382,076 Bahubali. Cine Galaxy informed about the same by tweeting that$1,922,995 had been already earned as of 4 pm EST. The total final BO earnings from the United States remains $1,922,995 Million or 1.28 crore Indian Rupees.
