“Mohenjo Daro” and “Rustom” are two of the most-hyped Bollywood movies of 2016 was released yeaterday. Ever since they were announced, both the movies have been generating positive buzz on social media over its cast, story and production. The makers of both the films have shelled out hefty sums on massive publicity and have also adapted several unique promotional strategies.
Rustom 2nd Day Collection
The flick registered an average of 50 percent occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes around the country on first day. As per early trends, It is likely to collect Rs. 14 crore nett at the Indian box office on the first day.
The overall occupancy of the movie on 2nd day in the morning shows was up to 45% in all over India which is very good. The start is excellent in North India as the occupancy in circuits of East Punjab, is more than 55-60%. In Delhi city, the occupancy is around 55%. That is probably due to the presence of North India’s favorite superstar Akshay Kumar who has a massive fan following there. The opening was also good in places like Mumbai and Bangalore where the start is approx 35%.
The film has been released in around 2000 screens but the morning show occupancy has been reported quite well in most of the multiplexes on 1st day. Some of the cinema halls in Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, and Jaipur & UP is running to houseful. No doubt this film once again listed in top 10 super hit films of Akki who has started this year with super hit film Airlift which has also the record of first 100 Cr grossing movie of the year. Critics has rated the film better than average but from morning show word of mouth from fans seems to be good and this will take the film up with a good business in the weekend. The movie will surely cross 8 crore on its second day in India. Total expected 2nd day collection of film will be near to 8 To 10 crore.
